Code Compliance

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Violations are, more often than not, caused by lack of knowledge regarding City codes and may be easily resolved.

Code Compliance coordinates periodic announcements in local newspapers, social media, and on our webpage regarding common Moab Municipal Code violations in an effort to help residents avoid receiving a notices. We may also email, mail, and/or drop off a friendly reminder postcard or flyer for issues such as camping and burning within City limits, weeds and debris, illegal short-term rentals, grease trap requirements, illegal signs and lighting violations, and information detailing new and/or updated City code sections.

The violation complaint process will be based on complaint-driven concerns submitted by residents; short-term rentals operating within residential zones and/or conducting business without a business license are current a priority. Please click the button located to the right to submit an online code complaint for our review.
