RESIDENTS
Moab is a great place to visit, and a better place to live. Here are some contact numbers for services residents often use.  

UTILITIES
The City of Moab provides water, sewer, and garbage pickup service to city residents. To report a water or sewer problem call Moab City Public Works (435-259-7485). Standard telephone service is provided by Frontier Communications (866-716-1619). Numerous companies offer cell phone plans. Broadband internet service is provided by Frontier Communications (866-716-1619) and Precis Cable (800-924-7662). Rocky Mountain Power (888-221-7070) supplies electricity. Questar (435-259-7137) supplies Moab homes with natural gas service. Cable television is provided by Precis Cable (800-924-7662). Satellite TV is also available from various providers.

LIBRARY
The Grand County Library (257 East Center Street) is open 6 days a week. Along with books, periodicals, CDs, Video tapes and DVDs to loan, the library has expanded internet access. Call for hours (435-259-5421).

THE ARTS
Moab Arts and Recreation Center (435-259-6272) provide a central downtown location for classes, performances, community meetings and social events.

PARKS
Moab has an array of public parts offering recreation opportunities, social gathering areas, and opportunities for solitude among the greenery. Swanny City Park (400 North, 100 West) has a playground, barbecue facilities, and shade trees, along with a municipal swimming pool and a skate park. Old City Park (4 miles south of the city limits in Spanish Valley) has a covered stage/gazebo, picnic tables and barbecue grills. Old City Park is popular as a location for weddings, family reunions, and other social events. Rotary Park (680 Millcreek Drive) has shade trees, barbecue grills, picnic tables and a covered patio. The Mill Creek Parkway is a pedestrian and bicycle path that follows Mill Creek, a pedestrian and bicycle path

GOLF
The Moab Golf Course (435-259-6488) includes an 18-hole par 72 course, club and cart rentals, a pro shop and a snack bar.

SWIMMING POOL
The Moab Swim Center (435-259-8226) has lap swimming, open swim hours, and lessons.

RECREATION
Moab City Recreation (435-259-2255) offers year-round sports and recreation opportunities for children and adults. Old Spanish Trail Arena (435-259-6226) hosts rodeo, horse shows and a myriad of other events throughout the year, including open hours for riding.

PLANNING AND ZONING
The Moab Planning Department (435-259-5129) handles building permit requests, zoning issues and code compliance.  

MEDIA
The Times Independent (435-259-2575) prints weekly and covers local news and events. Moab is served by two radio stations, KCYN (97.1 FM, country music format, high school sports) and KZMU (90.1 FM, community radio).
