Farmer's Market at Swanny City Park
 |
400 North 100 West
Located in downtown Moab at 400 North and 100 West, is a 7-acre park with a large playground, two barbecue grills, covered picnic tables, a covered gazebo, lots of wide open green space and big, old shade trees. The park is named for former Moab resident Swanny Kirby who originally owned the land. In earlier years, before being acquired by the City, the park was used as a rodeo ground and fairground. Swanny City Park is the location of Moab's Swimming Pool and newly constructed Skate Park. There is also a rose garden, public restrooms, and drinking fountains. Swanny City Park cannot be rented for private events.
Recycling at the Park
The City of Moab encourages you to make recycling part of your next event at Swanny City Park. Recycling saves water, lowers air pollution, creates jobs, preserves natural areas and promotes personal responsibility. Moab City recognizes that recycling matters! The City has recycle bins available for your use at no charge. The Solutions, a volunteer group that focuses on the "reduce, reuse and recycle" lifestyle, will be happy to assist you in the process of implementing recycling at your event. Call The Solutions at 259-0910 or visit them at www.moab-solutions.org.
