John is taking on the job as Recreation Coordinator with an incredible amount of enthusiasm. As well as continuing to serve the recreational needs of Moab's community, John is bringing a fresh perspective to the recreation agenda and has new ideas for facilities and programs.
In the Moab City Recreation Program, there is always a place for a child to fit in. There is also always a place for parents to fit in. One of the biggest needs of the Recreation Department is volunteers. Each sport needs coaches and other adults to work with the children, keep score, prepare fields, haul equipment or officiate. Although there are a small number of employees in the Recreation Department, that number swells to nearly 50 employees during the summer season. For information regarding employment with the Recreation Department, see below.
