Lloyd has the job of caring for 28 miles of water mains for the City of Moab. He oversees three major springs which are the source of all of Moab's culinary water as well as three active wells. There are three additional springs and five other wells that are not currently used in the culinary water system, but some of the water is used for irrigation of City parks and private land.
Lloyd has lived in Moab since he was four years old, so he qualifies as a local guy. He has been with the City of Moab since 1997. Prior to coming to work for the City, he worked in the tour industry as a professional boat, snowmobile, and 4X4 mechanic for nine years. Not surprisingly, he put some time in the uranium mines in earlier years in Moab. He takes a break from work by going off-road motorcycle riding, hiking and hunting.
