Rachel Ellison has served as City Recorder/Assistant City Manager since March of 1998. Rachel is a Master Municipal Clerk (MMC)and is a Certified Business Licensing Official. Prior to her appointment as City Recorder, Rachel worked at Grand County as the Assistant to the County Administrator and as the Economic Development Coordinator. Previous to relocating to Moab in 1995, she worked at the University of Utah for five years. Rachel has 19 years of experience in government accounting. Rachel is completing her Bachelor's Degree in Business Information Systems with an emphasis in Management Information Systems. Her expertise has gained her the role of information systems administrator throughout City Hall. Rachel has lived in seven states, but spent her formative years in Salt Lake City. Rachel is an avid reader who enjoys traveling with her family and loves her road bike.
