The City of Moab does not have a city property tax. The City does have Resort Community and Highway taxes. These taxes, collected on retail sales, total 1.75 percent, and are in addition to state and other sales taxes. Visitors staying in city overnight accommodations pay an additional 1.5 percent transient room tax, along with other state and county taxes. The Moab Chamber of Commerce (435-259-7814) represents the interests of Moab businesses and promotes a friendly, supportive business environment.
